WASC Accreditation
5 Steps Academy is thrilled to announce that our educational curriculum has achieved accreditation status from the Accrediting Commission for Schools, Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). We are privileged to be part of this prestigious community of schools and programs dedicated to excellence in education through their curriculum offerings.
To secure this accreditation, 5 Steps Academy submitted a comprehensive program report and welcomed inspection visits from fellow educators. The visits aimed to assess our program concerning student learning and well-being, guided by WASC criteria. The initial report prepared by the visiting team highlighted our program’s strengths and areas for growth, setting the stage for ongoing improvement. This process is vital in our commitment to enhancing every aspect of our curriculum, involving all stakeholders in a thorough review based on the WASC standards through the self-study and visitation procedures.
Achieving WASC accreditation affirms the quality and integrity of our curriculum and transcripts, ensuring the community that our educational goals are both relevant and realized within an effective educational framework. Moreover, it certifies to the public that 5 Steps Academy is a reputable institution for learning and well-being, dedicated to perpetual enhancement and delivering high-quality education and well-being for all students.
In alignment with the WASC continuous accreditation cycle, we undertake a detailed self-study every five or six years, host educational peer visits, and engage all stakeholders in a comprehensive process to implement, monitor, and refine a program-wide action plan.
We take immense pride in our mission to transform student well-being, making school an environment students eagerly anticipate. Our WASC-accredited curriculum is tailored to foster social-emotional learning alongside physical well-being through diverse enrichment activities. Our initiatives offer students the chance to learn, be active, and collaborate beyond traditional classroom settings. As we guide the next generation, we continue to connect with and motivate students, encouraging them to flourish in every aspect of life.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to:
